Safe And Comfortable Shipping Process
Kittens aren’t vases or art supplies, so when you hear that he or she can be shipped to you, your first reaction is probably shocking. Before you panic, get that picture of cardboard boxes and foam peanuts out of your mind! Shipping Kittens is usually quite safe and any airlines or trucking companies that take live animals have procedures in place to be sure they arrive in good health.
Airlines will either ship Kittens in the cargo compartment which sounds a bit callous and scary, but is actually fairly safe and comfortable for the Kittens, especially if there is no need for a layover or cargo transfer or the Kitten to be stowed under the passenger’s seat in lieu of carrying on luggage. This is probably the safest mode of air travel.
We always give all our Kittens a Bordetella vaccine prior to shipping to avoid the chances of other Cats or pets infecting them.
Before shipping the kitten will see the vet for a health certificate. This will expire in 30 days so they will need to be shipped in this time frame. As soon as I have their schedule and reservation I will give you this information. You can track the kitten online using the airway bill number.
The shipping fee is currently $250 and will be more if the kitten has to go in a larger crate. The base fee of $300 is subject to change according to airline fees. The airfare by itself is $250 for the smallest crate. The extra expenses included in my fee are Health Certificate, gas for 3 hours driving to delivery company/airport, crate, and parking.
If your kitten encounters delays or canceled flights the personnel are trained in caring for animals and boarding them. They also have a vet on staff at all times. Delivery agency may call you with updates.
You are welcome to visit your kitten after six weeks of age by appointment. The kittens go home between 10-12 weeks of age and you are welcome to pick them up at my home or for a fee we are willing to deliver. Example Delivery fees are: $ 300, $ 200, $250. Contact us for more information
